Sweden/UK: Following group reorganisation, Electrolux

has both streamlined and improved its finishing equipment range to meet the needs of a worldwide market.

A highlight of the range will be the Ares, designed to finish laundered and drycleaned shirts to a high standard. Although it will be of particular interest to businesses wanting to introduce a shirt service, the machine can also be used for other garments such as jackets.

Commenting on the company’s plans, international product manager Peter Thompson said that the aim was to have a consistent range for sale worldwide, supported by good quality technical information and support and spares distribution. In this way it would be able to offer customers a better service.

Electrolux is also moving along the CO2 route and is installing a version for testing this year.
