The number of exhibitors from outside Italy rose by 125% compared with the previous show and accounted for almost one third of the 281 exhibitors.
Foreign visitor number rose by 55% with 6,027 out of the 15,195 professionals coming from outside the host country and 84 countries were represented. Of these 457 were from Europe, but Asian, American, Oceanic and African countries were also represented.

The organising committee said that it was pleased with the show’s success when set against the current economic climate.

Gabrio Renzacci, chairman of Expo Detergo International, said that many leading companies in both laundry and drycleaning sectors used the show to launch important technological innovations.

The event was fully supported by industry associations including Assosistema, representing industrial companies in the fields of laundry and linen, supply, work wear and related textile services, the European Textile Services Association, and Cinet, the International Committee of Textile Care.

The aim, said Renzacci, is to make the next Expo Detergo, in four years’ time, a fair that is the undisputed number one international event in the textile care sector.
