TRSA, the Association for the linen, uniform and facility services industry in North America, and the Network Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors (NAUMD), jointly released a new video in recognition of National Uniform Day which took place 17 September. Featuring senior figures from each association, the video honours men and women across many industries who wear uniforms to work and the contributions they make to the American economy. The message? “We’d like to say to America’s uniformed workers: thank you for suiting up and moving this great nation forward.”
“Every day, countless individuals put on a uniform and go to work in industries that are vital to our daily lives,” said Joseph Ricci, president and CEO at TRSA. “TRSA and its members are proud to offer essential, sustainable services that help ensure these hardworking individuals can trust that their uniforms meet the highest standards for safety, cleanliness, and comfort. We are excited to partner with NAUMD and others across the country to celebrate National Uniform Day and the people who wear uniforms in service to our local communities and nation.”
“Those who wear uniforms are the everyday heroes of our society—serving, protecting, caring, building, and keeping our communities running strong,” said Rick Levine, Executive Director at NAUMD. “On National Uniform Day, we honour their dedication across every industry. We’re proud to join TRSA in this celebration, and to recognise the manufacturers, distributors, and service providers who work behind the scenes to deliver uniforms that meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and pride.”
The video features Ricci and Levine, along with Lisa Stewart, senior vice president at Superior Group of Companies and chair of the NAUMD board of directors, and Randy Bartsch, chairman at EcoTex Healthcare Linen Service and chair of the TRSA board of directors.
The video states:
“On National Uniform Day, we recognise the hardworking men and women who rely on uniforms on the shop floor and at the jobsite. These uniformed workers are essential to our economy and our way of life.
“And behind these workers are uniform manufacturers, distributors, and laundry service providers – a strong community of individuals who help deliver uniforms that meet the highest standards for cleanliness, comfort, and safety.
“When America gets to work, we’ve got you covered.”
