Elis, as it looks to the future in circular textile and hygiene services, has acquired Oxwash, the Pentland Capital-backed laundry operation committed to carbon-neutral, low-impact commercial laundry technology.
The move marks a major milestone in Elis’s sustainability strategy, reinforcing its commitment to industrial decarbonisation and the future of circular textile care. Oxwash’s data-driven technology enables carbon-neutral operations, microfibre capture, and ultra-efficient water and energy use to be integrated across Elis’s network.
Founded in 2018 by Dr Kyle Grant-Talbot, Oxwash operates the Big Blue I facility in Swindon, one of the most sustainable laundry plants in the UK. It complements Elis’s mission to provide low-carbon, resource-efficient textile and hygiene services to thousands of organisations nationwide.
Mark Franklin, CEO of Elis UK, said: “We are pleased to announce Elis’ acquisition of Oxwash. This development will strengthen our network in the UK and support our ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable, high-quality textile services to customers across the country”
Dr Kyle Grant-Talbot, CEO and founder of Oxwash, added: “Joining Elis, a company recognised by Ecovardis and committed to its Science Based Targets, provides Oxwash with an excellent fit for our carbon-neutral model, accelerating the transformation of textile care into a truly sustainable industry.”
