Sveriges Tvatteriforbung, the Swedish Textile Services Association will meet for its annual general meeting on 15 May at the classic Elite Park Avenue Hotel in Gothenburg, Sweden where, along with a full programme of presentations and debate, the association will present this year’s sustainability award winner.
The Swedish TSA, will award its annual Textile Service Industry Sustainability Award for the ninth year. This time the Association, in cooperation with Ecolab, recognises two award winners who each contribute in their own way to increased sustainability within the industry.
The event follows a recent event on 25 April, when a small group of stakeholders including H&M, Ikea and Swedish TSA Tvätteriförbundet met with Romina Pourmokhtari (pictured), Sweden’s Minister for Climate and the Environment for a round table discussion on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for textiles. It was a most productive discussion where CEO Daniel Kärrholt had the opportunity to communicate the industry’s views directly to the minister and the civil servants of the department.
