Jacksons Workwear Rental has been supporting the working community for 230 years from its Lincoln base. It provides a cost-effective, reliable workwear service aiming to provide businesses with appropriate workwear that provides protection, comfort and style.

The family owned, family-run business has a professional, extensive and contemporary workwear range refined over many years of knowledge and expertise. With such a long history and years of experience behind it, Jacksons has worked for many of the country’s biggest blue-chip companies and a wide range of SMEs with which it is respected for its high level of service. This has been achieved through building close working relationships with customers and getting to know and understand specific needs and challenges.

Christeyns UK recently renewed its relationship with Jacksons when the Bradford-based hygiene specialist was asked to assist in ensuring the in-house wash process was attaining the highest quality of cleanliness and to look at ways to improve productivity and efficiency at the site.

Workwear is not just clothing for work, it also plays a vital role in how staff are able to carry out their roles, safely, effectively and often ensuring essential brand or company recognition. The resilient fabrics often necessary to sufficiently protect the wearer and the nature of the potential dirt and stains, including grease, food and oil-based substances make cleaning workwear garments a real challenge.

The team at Christeyns introduced hygiene testing, verification that the wash process is removing allergens, for Jacksons’ food manufacturing customers and installed temperature monitoring as a trial on Jackson’s washer extractors in order to allow them to thermally verify the wash process.

A Flux Multi dosing system with a reporting feature was installed enabling Christeyns to monitor wash production and chemical cost and make recommendations accordingly.

Being able to work with the site to improve inefficiencies, is a key part of the partnership. The newly installed maintenance management system will streamline and optimise maintenance operations, minimising any downtime and ensuring Jacksons can offer consistency of service.

“Christeyns is able to offer us market leading technology and enhanced wash quality, but also reliable maintenance support and advice when we need it,” said Tom Laidler, operations manager at Jacksons.  “Maintaining our high standards is of the upmost importance, this new partnership will offer peace of mind and keep us ahead of the game.”

Jacksons work across many sectors including agriculture, construction, chemicals, engineering, healthcare, automotive, energy, food, manufacturing and logistics. The company also provides dust mats, washroom hygiene services, locker provision and commercial laundry services.
