The Textile Rental Services Association has developed an Excel spreadsheet calculator that is intended to help rental laundries demonstrate the saving benefits of an outsourced service to hotel managements.
The "OPL Cost Calculator" is designed to show hotel managers the cost factors they need to consider when looking at the options for providing a laundry service. Entering the hotel’s current laundry service costs including variables, such as number of rooms, occupancy levels and lbs of linen per room, will allow more accurate comparisons.
The spreadsheet is now available to TRSA members for testing so they can send feedback on its usefulness to the hospitality committee.
